NFL Week 2

So after last weeks difficult start where 2 out of my 4 picks failed to cover the spread and in the case of Tampa committed a bone headed play with seconds remaining to lose, we’re back to try our luck in week 2 of the NFL.

This week I’ve outlined a treble and a side bet double too:

New Orleans Saints (-3) v Tampa Bay Bucs

I’m taking the Saints here to beat Tampa by at least 3. The Saints looked much improved on defence last week surrendering only 17 points against a strong Falcons team. They travel away to Tampa this week who looked poor throughout against the New York Jets in their opener, so I’m confident the Saints can continue where they left off last week.

Denver Bronchos v New York Giants Over 55 points Total

Not picking a winner here as I think it’s got shootout written all over it. The Manning brothers face off against each-other with plenty of weapons surrounding them; particularly in Denver’s case. In addition both teams defences are arguably weaker than last year. Therefore I’m banking on a cricket score here to cover the 55 points total.

Steelers v Cincinnati Bengals (-6.5)

Pittsburgh were very ordinary last week against the Titans and got handed a hefty defeat. Now they travel to a fancied division rival smarting from a close loss to Chicago. The Bengals have to win by a touchdown at least but if the Dalton to AJ Green combo kicks into the gear this could be by more

The above treble pays just under 6/1 with bet365

In addition

Here’s a cheeky tight end double: Jason Witten (Cowboys TE) and Jimmy Graham (Saints TE) both to score a touchdown anytime. These players are the favourite Redzone target of their respective quarterbacks and both scored last weekend. I might be tempting fate again this week but its worth a small punt.

This double pays 3.05/1 with bet365

Good luck
